  • What areas do you deliver to?

    At this stage we are offering delivery exclusively to Central Auckland. To find out if we are presently offering delivery in your area click here, or visit the homepage and click on ‘Our Delivery Areas’ for an up-to-date list of our current delivery areas. Feel free to email or contact us via our Facebook page if you would like us to look into offering deliveries to your area in future.

  • How do my Foodkits get sent and packaged to me?

    Your Farro Foodkits are individually shopped for off of the floor at our Farro Fresh store, personalised for your order. The cost of your Farro Foodkit reflects this personalisation and the recipe development to include the seasonal produce that we hold in our stores. We try and package your recipe ingredients in a way that is most sustainable, efficient and as compact as possible. Therefore, your foodkits will be sent to you in as few boxes as possible, so your meals will be sent all in the same box, where possible. Our courier charges, follow along these lines, and is calculated at $10 per box. For those wishing to have a meal per box option, courier charges would reflect this calculation and would be $10 per box.

  • Can you tell me more about how the delivery process works?

    We deliver Tuesday to Friday between 6pm and 9pm each week and on Saturdays between 1pm and 4pm. When ordering it is important to remember that we don’t offer same day delivery. For example if you order on a Monday, the earliest you can have your order delivered is between 6-9pm on Tuesday. We deliver Tuesday to Saturday to ensure that you receive the freshest ingredients direct from the market.

  • Why do you only deliver between 6pm and 9pm weekdays?

    Due to Auckland traffic congestion, our delivery team work outside of peak traffic hours to ensure that we’re able to deliver your order on time, every time. This means that you will need to consider that the meal arriving will be for consumption the following day after delivery. We have also chosen this delivery window to make it easier for you to be at home when your order arrives which involves refrigerating your chilled items and signing for any wine purchases you have made.

  • Can I collect my order directly from Farro Fresh?

    Sorry, but at this stage we only offer delivery. All orders are dispatched directly from the Foodkit depot.

  • What happens if I’m not home when you deliver?

    If you are not going to be at home during the delivery window, please include instructions of where your order should be left outside. We pack all items that require refrigeration with a simple chill pack to keep your items cool right up until delivery. Some people leave a large chilly bin outside for the courier to pop the foodkit into, this is completely optional.

    Please note: Farro Foodkits takes no responsibility for damage or deterioration to your order once it has been delivered at your chosen address.

  • Why did I not receive the alcohol I ordered?

    If for some reason you or someone else at the address could not present the correct 18+ identification when the delivery is made, the alcohol portion of your order will be removed from your delivery and Farro Foodkits will credit the value of the alcohol back to you. Due to New Zealand liquor licencing laws, Farro Foodkits is not permitted to leave any alcohol unattended at a private address without a signature backed by appropriate identification from a person 18 years or older.

  • What happens if some of my ingredients are missing from my Foodkit?

    In the unlikely event that something is missing from your Farro Foodkit, please give us a call or send us an email. We will do our best to sort the issue out for you or provide you with a credit for the missing items, to use on your next Foodkit purchase. Occasionally we may need to substitute an ingredient with something similar, but we’ll always make a note on the item to ensure you know what to do with it.

  • Why do my favourite Foodkits occasionally change in price?

    If for some reason your favourite Foodkits change occasionally in price, this would be an occurance as a result of changing prices for ingredients supplied within your Foodkit. As our Foodkits are based around seasonal products, and include fresh produce and meats, these sometimes can have price changes seasonally, and our prices will slightly change to reflect this.

  • Will you adjust your Foodkit to suit my dietary requirements?

    Unfortunately, we can’t adapt our Foodkits to cater for individual dietary requirements. We’ve designed our Foodkits to suit a variety of different tastes and cuisines, each Foodkit has a list of allergens, making it easier for you to choose a suitable Foodkit. Feel free to email us with suggestions of meals you would like to see in future as we update the website regularly.

  • Who do I contact if I have an issue with my Foodkit?

    If for some reason there is an issue with your Foodkit, simply phone us on 0800 6663 3663 or email us at foodkits@farrofresh.co.nz. Our lines are open from 8am-8pm daily.

  • How long do your recipes take to cook?

    When you browse our Foodkits, a cooking time for each is provided, so the choice is entirely up to you as to how long you would like to spend in the kitchen. If you’re after a quick meal in 30 minutes or less, choose from our our ‘express’ range of Foodkits. Some Foodkits require preparation prior to cooking, but this often means that you will be able to be less hands on come meal time.

  • How will my Foodkit be packaged?

    At Farro Foodkits we aim to be as green as we can. We pack your Foodkit ingredients into a sturdy recyclable cardboard box and use reusable storage packs wherever possible to package your spices etc. Food safety is paramount for us, so we follow all safety protocols to ensure your ingredients arrive in the best possible condition. All items that require refrigeration will be packed together with a simple chill pack to keep your items cool right up until delivery.

  • How much of the ingredients do I use?

    We weigh and measure nearly all your ingredients, so use them all unless the recipe says otherwise. We’ll tell you when we have supplied surplus items like meats (due to pack sizes) or whole pack items like canned tomatoes. It’s up to you whether you to add these in or save them for another meal. Our recipes are prepared for adults so spices and chilli can be reduced or left out as desired.

  • Why do I get a separate invoice for the wine I have ordered with Foodkits?

    This is simply due a regulation set by the Liquor licensing Board
